Palin Switches Focus on North Slope Projects

Gov. Sarah Palin has again pushed for further development in Alaska's North Slope, but this latest push could be a sign that the two proposed multi-billion dollar natural gas pipelines from the North Slope into the Lower 48 states have a cloudier future. Palin encouraged companies to build a small diameter pipeline that would transport natural gas from the North Slope to south-central Alaska, which she says needs additional gas supplies because of depleting gas reserves in the region.
