Frac Spread for Week of Dec. 23, 2009: Margins Continue Improvement

Natural gas liquid (NGL) frac spread margins for the final week of 2009 saw margins improve in all but one case as the continued upward movement of prices pushed profitability up. The biggest improvement for the week was Mont Belvieu ethane, which rose 25%. This was followed by Texas propane, which rose 15%. The biggest improvement in margin at Conway was for butane, which rose 11%. C_(5+) at Conway was the lone NGL to drop in margin at 3%.
