Workshop'A Hydrothermal Cluster of the MAR Axis between 12 deg and 17 deg N:A Unique Natural Phenomenon or a Common Feature of the Hydrothermal Systems of Mid-Oceanic Ridges?'of the Russian Branch of the InterRidge International Program

A workshop of the Russian branch of the InterRidge International program was held this summer,on July 6 and 7,2005,in St.Petersburg.The workshop was attended by leading Russian specialists dealing with processes in the crest zones of mid-oceanic ridges that control the origin and geochemistry of mineral deposits related to the hydrothermal alterations of the oceanic lithosphere.The workshop was also participated by prominent researchers from Germany and France and by K.Freitag,a coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the project.
