JEREH GROUP COMPLETES CHINA'S FIRST SHALE GAS LIQUEFACTION PLANT

AT ITS CURRENT phase, the plant will produce 2.47 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscf/d) of LNG. The second phase, with capability up to 10.59 MMscf/d. started construction in January 2015 and created 30 direct jobs. The plant is located at Junlian County in Sichuan Province, one of the main shale gas play areas in China, covering an area of 718,000 square feet. In 2014, the shale gas production in Junlian was 3.53 MMcf/'d. Apart from the local demand of 423,800 cf/d, the rest needs to be liquefied for returns on investment. As the project contractor, Jereh offered an integrated solution that includes designing as well as engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM).
