摘要

We found microaggregates of copper iodidesulfides in grains of cobaltous manganorhodonite at the Polar Urals in 1998. They are characterized by wide variations of iodine contents within 0-52 wt%, a negative correlation between iodine and sulfur, and regular variations in the Cu/(S+I) atomic ratio between 1 and 2 [1]. The minerals are hosted by a manganiferous weathering crust, which consists of kvaluzite of unusual Co-Mn composition [2, 3].
