Statoil and Petrobras sign letter of intent to expand cooperation

Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil and Brazil’s energy major Petrobras have signed a letter of intent (LOI) with a view to expanding cooperation, including a possible joint acquisition of new exploration acreage. The blocks would be acquired through joint participation in public bidding rounds, Statoil said in a statement.
