Interest in the Permian Basin area spiked after August 2005 when Burlington Resources recompleted a well in northern Reeves county,ten miles northwest of Pecos,in the Barnett shale at 15,000 feet and found production of nearly 2 million cfd.And this was just a vertical well.Nobody is saying Jal and Keystone could become as big as Devon's Bridgeport plant,sixth on the list,in the Barnett shale to the north in the Fort Worth basin.On the other hand,maybe Sid Richardson sold itself to a new owner,Southern Union,just a bit too early.
