Earlier this month, Delphi Midstream Partners LLC announced it had received an equity commitment from American Securities to support up to US$2 billion in investment and acquisition opportunities in the midstream energy sector. Delphi Midstream, which was founded by Thomas Karam, the former president and chief operating officer of Southern Union Co., is one of the emerging investment funds entering the midstream energy sector of late.
