The Challenge to Enterprise

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) is the third integrated player. It already has five pieces of the integrated value chain on the Gulf Coast, namely gathering, processing, NGL pipelining, fractionating and storage. In Wyoming, it has everything but gathering and processing plants, but the Williams line it bought connects the Cowboy state to the Gulf. It is not totally absent from the Rockies, since it owns the massive 650 MMcfd Chaco plant system in New Mexico's San Juan Basin, thanks to its merger with the Gulf Terra MLP (GPR December 2003).
