In some cases the combination of the storms that effected production in the Gulf and a poor economy resulted in reduced earnings and income compared to the prior year. DCP Midstream's Q3 2008 earnings fell 14%, to $13.8 million, from $27.2 million in Q3 2007 due to the impact of Hurricanes Ike and Gustav, as well as lower NGL recoveries at its East Texas complex.
