NGL Prices Gain Strength as August Closes

Natural gas liquid (NGL) prices approached their highs for August in the final week of the month at Mont Belvieu and came in just below a four-week high at Conway as spot market prices were pushed up because of higher month-end volatility. The most volatility was found in the cases of both propane and C_(5+) at Mont Belvieu and propane at Conway as traders sought to ensure their supplies of propane for the U.S. fall and winter seasons. However, this increased trading didn't result in markedly higher prices for either NGL.
