A week after ethane climbed to its highest level at Mont Belvieu since the start of the year, Conway ethane prices did the same this week following a 4% increase to 29¢. Meanwhile, Texas ethane continued to gain, as it was up 1% to 38¢. Earlier this week, Enterprise Products Partners' executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Jim Teague, said the upswing in ethane prices is because it remains "far and away the preferred feedstock relative to naphtha for ethylene.
