Qatar LNG May Supply Nabucco Pipeline

Officials from Qatar Natural Gas and BOTAS of Turkey are in negotiations to build a pipeline to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar to Turkey, according to The Gulf Times. The LNG pipeline would run through Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria before reaching Turkey. This pipeline could eventually be connected to the proposed Nabucco Gas Pipeline that will run from the Caspian Sea into Western European markets through a terminal in Austria (see GRFT 07/21/09).
