Merrill Lynch Sees Continued Strength in MLP Market

Merrill Lynch analyst Gabe Moreen sees a continued robust picture for MLPs. “Growing demand for energy infrastructure in the U.S. has resulted in an increasing backlog of organic growth projects which we expect will continue to drive annual cash distribution growth of 6-8% in the MLP sector. Coupled with a current average sector yield of 5.8%, this suggests the MLP sector can offer total return potential of approximately 10-14%,” Moreen noted in a research report Monday.
