Although a slight decrease of 2.4% over the previous year, replacement of 50kg LP gas cylinders with new ones very much in evidence

The number of cylinders for welding manufactured during the period of Jan.-Dec. 2013 was down by 2.4% over the previous year, amounting to 1,542,692. Of this, cylinders for use with LP gas were likewise down by 2.9%. In particular production of cylinders with a capacity of under 10kg or under 20kg dropped, being down respectively by 17.1% and 6.3%. In contrast, the large cylinders with a capacity of under 50kg were up slightly by 2.9%, amounting to 765,064.
