Israel has shelved plans to build a permanent LNG terminal, in favour of building a “buoy” terminal, according to reports on Monday. Minister of National Infrastructures Uzi Landau told reporters from Israel’s Globes business daily that his department has ordered the country’s Natural Gas Authority to freeze planning permission for a permanent LNG terminal, proposed near the port of Haifa in northern Israel.
