Construction workers have broken ground on a $7 billion natural gas pipeline grid in Guangdong, on the southern coast of China, according to local news reports. The grid system, which is being managed by a joint venture between PetroChina, Sinopec, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and Guangdong Yuedian Group, is intended to supply the 21 cities in the province with 60 Bcm of gas by 2020.
