PetroChina begins work on 3.5 mtpa Tangshan LNG terminal

PetroChina has begun construction work on its Tangshan LNG terminal near Beijing, Reuters reported on Thursday. Located in the northern Hebei province around 150km from the Chinese capital, the 3.5 mtpa terminal is expected to be completed by the end of 2013. Chinese news agencies reported that the project will be funded by PetroChina and the government of Beijing and Hebei province, which will invest $1.5 billion (RMB 10 billion).
