TORP Refiles Application for Bienville LNG Terminal

After withdrawing a similar application last October, TORP Terminal LP re-submitted an application with the U.S. Coast Guard to build, own and operate a liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal off the coast of Alabama. The application for the Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal was withdrawn last year due to concerns from Alabama Gov. Bob Riley over the use of ―open loop" technology, which some critics say harms sea life.
