Oil and gas majors to invest ￡10 billion in UK oil and gas projects

BP and its project partners in the UK North Sea are set to invest ￡10 billion over five years developing new oil and gas fields in the region, following approval from the UK government for the ￡4.5 billion Clair Ridge oil project. The British oil and gas giant, whose partners include Shell, ConocoPhillips and Chevron, said it had also made “significant progress” on the ￡550 million Devenick gas project in the central North Sea.
