The US Interior Department acted in contempt with “determined disregard” by continuing with its offshore drilling ban after he overturned the initial ban as too broad in June 2010, said US District Judge, Martin Feldman of New Orleans. “Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance,” Feldman said in a ruling this week.
