摘要

The oxygenation of phenolic and naphtholic compounds has been investigated in great details,partly due to the attractive biological activity of this class of molecules.It is generally believed that the oxygenation is occurred via the singlet oxygen generated by chemical means.It is well known that triplet oxygen does not react readily with most organic molecules because of the spin restriction.However,several reports pointed out the possibility of hydroperoxi-dation by the triplet oxygen.
