PNG LNG secures two long-term charters for Mitsui carriers

The ExxonMobil-led PNG LNG project in Papua New Guinea has signed a deal for the long-term charter of two of Mitsui OSK Lines’ (MOL) 177,000 cubic meter LNG carriers. The Japan-based shipping outfit has simultaneously entered into two Heads of Agreement - one with the PNG LNG Project and one with the Gorgon LNG project offshore Australia - to construct and long-term charter four new vessels, two for each of the projects.
