GDF SUEZ to build on-shore LNG tank at Chile's Mejillones terminal

GDF SUEZ yesterday announced plans to build an on-shore LNG storage tank at the GNL Mejillones terminal in northern Chile. The tank will have a capacity of 175,000 cm and is scheduled to be completed by 2013. The construction contract was awarded to Tecnicas Reunidas which completed the first phase of the terminal. Project supervision will be undertaken by Tractebel Engineering, an affiliate of the GDF SUEZ Group.
