Noble increases Israeli gas find estimate to 5 Tcf

Noble Energy, has increased its estimate of the potential resources at the Tamar gas discovery, 90 km off the Israeli northern port of Haifa, from 3 Tcf to 5 Tcf, based on recent production tests. The US company said in a statement that testing on a 59-foot section of the exploration well yielded a flow rate of 30 MMcf/d. “Performance modelling indicates the well can be ultimately completed to achieve a production rate of over 150 MMcf/d”, it added.
