First Qatari LNG cargo arrives in Canada

A Qatargas cargo of LNG arrived at the Canaport LNG terminal in eastern Canada earlier this week, marking the first delivery of LNG from Qatar to the east coast of North America. A spokesperson for Canaport LNG confirmed that the Q-Flex LNG carrier “Mesaimeer” arrived Tuesday but had not discharged its 216,000 cu.m cargo because of wind conditions. The vessel will berth at the terminal today and begin unloading, the spokesperson said.
