CNPC HK to invest in gas business

CNPC (Hong Kong) plans to invest around HK$10 billion (US$1.2 billion) in 2010, largely to develop its gas business. Newswire reports say the funds will be concentrated in the mainland and include LNG plants. The company’s finance manager Patrick Lau was quoted saying CNPC HK has about half of the money it wants to invest and may raise the additional funds through bonds or share sales.
