Gazprom Marketing & Trading boosts Gazprom Germania’s 2008 sales

The German affiliate of the Gazprom Group, Gazprom Germania, has reported 2008 record sales of 633.7 billion kWh (around 57.5 Bcm), a 36% increase compared to 2007. Profits after taxes also reached an all time high of ?537.2 million ($721.2 million). Gazprom Germania includes 39 companies including the UK trading arm Gazprom Marketing & Trade (GMT), G.D.P Gas Project Development Central Asia, which explores and produces gas mainly in Uzbekistan, as well as several sales companies that sell gas in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Turkey, France, Italy and the Czech Republic.
