India's hope of attracting foreign investment under the upcoming NELP-VIII licensing round seems to have been marred by the ongoing public feud between the estranged Ambani brothers as well as the global economic recession, upstream regulator V K Sibal has said.India is currently inviting bids for 70 blocks which are on offer in the country’s largest bidding round to date. But after holding five roadshow events in Canada, Australia and the UK which Sibal described as ‘lukewarm’, India’s Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) appears to be reconciled to a disappointing outcome for NELP-VIII.
