EnCana to sell Nova Scotia Deep Panuke gas production to Repsol

Calgary-based EnCana has agreed to sell future gas production from its offshore Nova Scotia Deep Panuke project to Repsol, which could help meet the Spanish oil and gas company’s goal of capturing nearly 20% of gas sales in the US northeast and Canada. An EnCana spokesman said the contract between the two companies will take effect immediately and will be for the duration of the project which is scheduled to start by the end of 2010.
