Turkmenistan calls for international probe into Russia-Turkmen pipeline blast

Turkmenistan has called for an international investigation into an explosion on a Turkmen-Russian gas pipeline, claiming the blast was caused by Gazprom abruptly interrupting gas flow through the network. Turkmenistan had earlier accused Moscow of violating the bi-lateral gas delivery agreement, claiming Gazprom had given notice for the interruptions in gas supplies “too late”, after the gas blast occurred on April 9.
