Dragon LNG terminal set for ‘mid-2009’ start-up, says Petronas

The BG Group-led Dragon LNG import terminal will be commissioned by mid-2009, Malaysia's state oil company Petronas said Tuesday. BG said earlier that the terminal would not be ready yet for LNG vessels to berth, adding the first commissioning cargo was not expected until April at the earliest. The 6 Bcm/y capacity terminal was originally scheduled to open in 2008, but delayed due to problems with contractors.
