Engie to launch retail LNG sales from UK Isle of Grain

France’s Engie - formerly GDF Suez - plans to begin selling LNG on the UK retail market from the Isle of Grain terminal and has agreed to supply 8,000 tonnes to local firm FLOGAS Britain over the next 18 months. FLOGAS will deliver LNG to off-grid industrial customers using trucks or trailers. Engie has acquired trailer-loading capacity at the Isle of Grain to help fulfil the contract and operations will begin within a few weeks, the company said.
