China has cut benchmark city-gate prices for non-residential users by CNY 700/MMcm (USD 110/MMcm) in a move to boost national gas demand, according to China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The body said it would also allow industry players to raise gas prices by up to 20% above the benchmark price from November 20, 2016. City-gate prices relate to the price paid by local distributors to pipeline operators.
