Chevron signs LNG HoA with China for up to 1 mpta

US major Chevron has signed a heads of agreement (HoA) for up to 1 mtpa to China Huadian Green Energy in 2020-2030, Chevron said in a statement on Monday night. The Chinese firm is a subsidiary of China Huadian Group, one of the largest state-owned power providers. “This is an important step in the commercialization of Chevron’s natural gas holdings in Australia and the establishment of our global liquefied natural gas portfolio,” Chevron Gas and Midstream executive VP Pierre Breber said.
