Pipelaying vessel on the move as Turk Stream progresses

Italian services firm Saipem’s pipelaying vessel Castoro Sei has set sail for Russia, as preparatory work on the first line of Gazprom’s proposed 63 Bcm/year Turk Stream project continues, officials confirmed to Gas Matters Today this week. Castoro Sei had been anchored in Bulgaria’s Burgas Bay for six months on Tuesday, shipping data show. The vessel, accompanied by deep sea tug and supply boat Sea Lynx, is scheduled to arrive in Anapa on Russia’s Black Sea coast on 5 July.
