摘要

Over a quarter of Indonesia’s production sharing contracts (PSCs) are due to expire over the next five years and the current foreign operators, who have no legal right to a contract extension, are still in the dark as to whether or not they will be extended. As a result, investment in some of the country’s largest upstream assets is stalling. Gas Strategies considers the prospects for IOCs in the Southeast Asian nation. Times are changing in Indonesia – not long ago the largest LNG exporter in the world. The Southeast Asian archipelago has seen its gas production levels drop for the third year running – 70.4 Bcm in 2013, down by 1% on 2012 and 16% on 2010’s levels of 82 Bcm.
