BP awarded two deepwater exploration blocks offshore Trinidad

BP announced on Monday the signing of two production sharing contracts with the government of Trinidad and Tobago for two deepwater exploration blocks, located approximately 300 km from the north east coast of the country. BP currently holds exploration and production licences covering 3,600 sq. km offshore the east coast of Trinidad, with its operations accounting for more than half of all Trinidad and Tobago’s natural gas production.
