Canaport LNG terminal to be commissioned next week

Canada’s first LNG terminal, Canaport, will receive its commissioning cargo early next week, when project leader Repsol's Bilbao Knutsen tanker arrives from Trinidad. The 1 Bcf/d terminal in Saint John, New Brunswick will supply gas to homes, businesses and industry in Canada and the northeast US. Gas will flow through the Brunswick Pipeline, a 90-mile pipeline connecting the terminal to the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline (M&NP) at the Canada/US border. Repsol has contracted all of the firm capacity in the Brunswick Pipeline.
