Apache and Santos to revive Australian Reindeer project after Chinese company signs supply deal

Houston-based Apache Energy and Australia's Santos said on January 7 that they would attempt to revive the $609 million (A$842 million) Reindeer offshore gas project in western Australia, after winning a major supply deal. However the partners have said that starting work on Reindeer will still be conditional on new construction contracts being signed by mid-March.
