Samsung limbers up for FEED work for Texas LNG project

South Korea's Samsung is to begin front-end engineering design (FEED) work for the planned USD 1 billion, 2 mtpa Texas LNG project in Brownsville, Texas, a project in which the company will also become a minority stakeholder, a Texas LNG statement said on Monday. Samsung's CEO Choong Heum Park said the project would “create the stepping stone for us to become the major player in the LNG market”, marking Samsung’s entry into the LNG industry as front FEED engineer, Texas LNG has said.
