Freeport LNG secures financing for first train

Freeport LNG has secured USD 3.85 billion in debt financing from a consortium of Japanese banks to part-fund the first train of its proposed LNG plant on Quintana Island near Freeport in the US state of Texas, the company confirmed on Wednesday.
