The consortium seeking to build a 1,200 km pipeline linking reserves in the Canadian Arctic with North American markets has been offered financial aid by Canada’s government. Jim Prentice, environment minister in Stephen Harper’s Conservative government, said that he expected the consortium partners to respond within 60 to 90 days. Prentice did not specify how much money has been offered.
