Chevron in talks with Shell to buy gas for Wheatstone LNG

Chevron is in talks with Shell to purchase gas from the Anglo-Dutch company’s stake in a gas block to help feed Chevron’s proposed Wheatstone LNG plant in Australia, an official said. Shell owns a one-third interest in the WA-16-R block in the Iago field while Chevron operates the field and holds the remaining equity.
