Total and Gazprom interested in Trans-Sahara Gas Pipeline project

Total and Gazprom are interested in participating in the Trans Sahara pipeline (TSGP) project to carry Nigerian gas to Europe via the Sahara Desert. Total is the first multinational oil company to express interest in the project, now taken seriously by western nations to reduce dependence on Russian gas. Guy Maurice, Total E&P managing director in Nigeria, said at an industry conference in Abuja this week that Total “is ready to be involved in this project.”
