Offshore drillers to remain under pressure into 2017 - Moody’s

Offshore drilling activities will come under increasing pressure until 2017, if crude prices remain low and rigs oversupplied, ratings agency Moody’s has said. Overcapacity has already eaten into dayrates for offshore drillers and, if crude continue at USD 40-50/barrel, rates in some markets may soon fall to break-even levels, Moody’s said in an investor note this week.
