Saudi Aramco set to double processing capacity of under-construciton gas plant

Saudi Arabian state oil company Saudi Aramco plans to nearly double the processing capacity of its under-construction Fadhili gas plant to 2.5 Bcf/day, it was revealed this week. Located in eastern Saudi Arabia, the Fadhili gas plant, which is due to come online in Q3 2018m, was originally planned to process 1.5 Bcf/d of sour gas from the Khursaniyah and Hasbah fields. Saudi Aramco had initially budgeted USD 1.6 billion for the facility, however this figure was doubled in September.
