Repsol and Alliance Oil have begun commercial gas production from the Syskonsyninskoye field in the Khanty-Mansiysk region of Russia, north of Novosibirsk, marking the first output of their joint venture A&R Oil and Gaz (AROG), formed to explore for gas in Russia. Initial gas production is 855 Mcm/d, which is being delivered to Gazprom’s gas transportation network.
