Newly-formed UK onshore gas industry group publishes shale well guidelines

The newly-formed United Kingdom Onshore Operators Group (UKOOG) on Thursday published a set of industry guidelines covering best practice for shale well operations. The representative body for onshore oil and gas companies in the UK issued guidelines covering hydraulic fracturing (fracking), the public disclosure of fracture fluid composition, and the exploration and appraisal phases of shale gas well developments.
