Gazprom and CNPC continue gas supply discussions

Another round of discussions between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) took place on Wednesday in Beijing, as officials from both organisations attempted once more to try and conclude a gas-supply deal which has been ten years in the making. Gazprom confirmed that Alexey Miller, chairman of Gazprom met with Jiang Jiemin, chairman of CNPC in Beijing and talked about the key commercial and technical parameters of pipeline gas supplies to the Chinese market. Gazprom noted that the two companies discussed the Yakutia-Khabarovsk -Vladivostok pipeline, also known as the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which Gazprom took FID on last year, as well as underground gas storage in China and LNG supplies from Gazprom's Vladivostok LNG project.
